ix35 Automatic Transmission Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Hyundai ix35 with 143,000 miles is experiencing erratic shifting, a flashing transmission light, and limp mode activation. The suspected causes include worn-out transmission oil and vehicle undervoltage. Suggested solutions involve checking the hydraulic fluid level, inspecting for leaks, and performing a transmission flush. After a diagnostic confirmed the transmission oil was degraded, a full transmission flush and oil change resolved the issue.

Thanks for the tip! When you experienced those symptoms, was your car also going into emergency mode? And what was the resolution for you?

Yes, it definitely went into emergency mode. I took it to a workshop immediately because I feared greater damage. They recommended doing a transmission flush. That fixed it.

Thanks a lot! I took the ix35 to the local shop, and after a diagnostic they confirmed the transmission oil was indeed shot. A full transmission flush and oil change later, and she's shifting like new again. Cost me 240€.

I had very similar symptoms with my ix35 automatic. Check the hydraulic fluid level. If it is not that, you should also check for any leaks around the transmission. That might also cause similar issues with the sensors.
