ix35 Clutch Pedal Switch Problems

Having trouble with my 2010 Hyundai ix35, diesel engine. I've got a bad clutch pedal switch, I think. The error memory has a fault stored, the gear selection isn't displaying in the speedometer, the cruise control doesn't work, and sometimes the engine won't even start. I've checked the obvious stuff and suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen this before?

That sounds awfully familiar. I've got an ix35 too, and I had similar problems a while back. The symptoms were almost identical. Did you check all the fuses? That's the first thing I did.

Okay, so for me it ended up being the clutch pedal switch itself. I messed around with it a bit, but honestly, in the end I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick. It's probably best to get it checked professionally, especially with starting issues, could be dangerous.
