ix35 Clutch Pedal Switch Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Hyundai ix35 with a diesel engine is experiencing issues likely related to a faulty clutch pedal switch. Symptoms include a stored fault in the error memory, lack of gear selection display on the speedometer, non-functional cruise control, and occasional engine starting problems. The suspected causes are a defective cable or plug connection. A replacement of the clutch pedal switch is suggested as a solution, with professional assistance recommended if starting issues persist.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I checked the fuses, they seem fine. When you had the issue, what exactly was the problem and how did you fix it?

Okay, so for me it ended up being the clutch pedal switch itself. I messed around with it a bit, but honestly, in the end I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick. It's probably best to get it checked professionally, especially with starting issues, could be dangerous.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. I did some more digging and it looks like the switch is the likely culprit. I've ordered a replacement and it should be an easy fix. Total cost is about 95€. Cheers!

That sounds awfully familiar. I've got an ix35 too, and I had similar problems a while back. The symptoms were almost identical. Did you check all the fuses? That's the first thing I did.
