ix35 Cold Start Issues

Having trouble with my 2009 Hyundai ix35, gasoline engine. It's got 97505 km on the clock. Lately, it's been starting really poorly when it's cold. The engine runs rough during that initial cold start phase, almost like it's misfiring. Anyone experienced similar?

Hey! I have an ix35 too, and I had very similar symptoms a while back. Hard starting, especially when the engine was cold. Have you tried getting the injectors tested? That was the root of my issues.

Interesting. What kind of test did you have done on the injectors? And what did you end up doing to fix it?

I just took it to my local mechanic, and they ran a diagnostic on the injection system. Turns out, one of the injectors was defective. I ended up replacing it. If you are not familiar with this, I suggest you visit a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. They confirmed it was a faulty cold start injector. Repair came out to 515€. Runs like new now!
