Jade multifunction steering wheel malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Jade hybrid experienced a complete malfunction of the multifunction steering wheel, with all buttons unresponsive and an error message stored. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective cable connection within the steering column. The recommended solution was to have the steering column professionally inspected and tested for electrical faults, which led to the identification and repair of a faulty cable connection.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not very experienced with electrical work. Could you explain a bit more about which cable connections I should be checking specifically?

I'm afraid I can't give you precise instructions without knowing your technical expertise. However, given the symptoms and error message, a defective cable connection within the steering wheel is a plausible explanation. The safest and most effective approach would be to visit a workshop to have the steering column professionally inspected and tested for electrical faults.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local workshop and you were right! It was a faulty cable connection in the steering wheel. Repair cost me 95€ Much appreciated!

Sounds like what I had with my Jade, though I can't remember the exact error code. Before you start replacing the control module, I would check the cable connections within the steering column itself. Are you familiar with using a multimeter to check the continuity of the wiring harness?
