Jade rear window heating issue
Summary of the thread
The rear window heating issue in a 2017 Honda Jade may be linked to a heavily discharged or defective battery, as suggested by online sources and similar experiences. Despite the switch light illuminating, the heating function is ineffective, indicating a potential deeper electrical problem. Checking fuses and relays might not resolve the issue, and a workshop visit is recommended to address the underlying cause, potentially involving battery-related repairs.

Thank you for your swift reply. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Yes, the light on the switch illuminates when I press it, but there is no discernible heating effect on the rear window. Is that the same behavior you experienced?

Exactly the same! Light came on, but no heat. I fiddled with it for ages, checking fuses and relays, but got nowhere. Eventually, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. Turns out, it was a deeper electrical issue linked to what you suspected - the battery. They sorted it out, but it wasn't cheap. Cost me around 290€ all-in.

Hey there! I had something similar happen on my Jade. The rear window demister just wouldn't kick in. Have you checked all the fuses related to the window heater? Sometimes it's something simple like that. Does the light on the switch come on when you try to activate it?
