Jade transmission indicator light issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Honda Jade hybrid. I've got about 106k km on it. The transmission indicator light and check engine light keep popping up. The automatic transmission goes into some kind of emergency mode, doesn't shift right, slips a lot, and makes this awful grinding noise when it tries to change gears. I pulled the error codes and it's pointing to something with the radiator oil pressure. I'm thinking maybe it's just a bad connection somewhere? Has anyone seen anything like this?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Honda Jade hybrid experienced issues with the transmission indicator and check engine lights, leading to erratic transmission behavior, including slipping and grinding noises. The error codes suggested a problem with the radiator oil pressure, possibly due to a bad connection. It was advised to check cable connections and plugs around the radiator and oil cooler for loose or corroded connectors. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by replacing a defective cable connection, restoring normal vehicle operation.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

That's rough! I had something similar happen with my Jade. Transmission acting up, lights on the dash going crazy. I’d double-check all the cable connections and plugs around the radiator and oil cooler. Could be a loose or corroded connector causing the pressure sensor to freak out. Did you notice any coolant leaks?

Coolant leaks, huh? I haven't spotted anything obvious on the ground or a low coolant level, but I'll take a closer look. Where exactly should I be checking for these cable connections and plugs? Near the radiator fan, or lower down by the oil cooler?

Yeah, even a tiny coolant leak can mess with the pressure. I'd start by checking around the oil cooler itself and tracing the lines back up to the radiator. Honestly, though, with those symptoms and the error code, it might be worth having a shop take a peek. My issue turned out to be a faulty sensor, and they sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the connections like you said, but didn't see anything obvious. I took it to the shop. You were right, it was a defective cable connection. They replaced it for 95€ and everything seems to be running smoothly again. Appreciate the help!
