Thanks for sharing your experience with the XF. Looking at almost identical issues with my XE right now, sounds like we had the same symptoms with the climate control acting up. Glad to hear it was mainly electrical connectors rather than having to replace the entire HVAC system. Would you mind sharing roughly how much you paid for the repair? Also wondering if youve had any other temperature sensor or control panel problems since getting it fixed?

Thanks for asking about the repair costs. After taking it to the dealer, the issue with the climate control panel was completely resolved. They found a damaged connector affecting the power supply to the control module, which explained all our HVAC troubles. The total repair cost was 95€ to fix the faulty electrical connectors. Much cheaper than I initially feared, especially given how the blower motor and air conditioning were both affected. Since the repair six months ago, the temperature control has worked flawlessly with no electrical faults or sensor issues recurring. Your XE seems to show identical symptoms to what my XF had. Based on my experience, it sounds like you might be dealing with similar connector problems rather than a more serious system failure. Getting it checked early helped avoid more extensive damage to the electronic components.

Finally took my XE to the mechanic last week after getting some great advice here. Turns out it was exactly what was suspected, corroded electrical connectors causing problems with the blower motor and control panel signals. The tech found water damage had affected the main wiring harness connection to the HVAC system. Total bill came to 120€ for cleaning the connectors, replacing some damaged pins and testing the system. Much better than the 800€ quote I got from another shop who wanted to replace the entire control module. Climate control is working perfectly now, both heating and AC running strong. No more error codes showing up either. Really glad I checked here first before authorizing any major repairs. Would have hated spending hundreds extra for parts that werent actually broken. Big thanks for sharing your experience and helped point me in the right direction. Saved me both money and stress knowing what to expect when I took it in.

Had similar issues on a 2019 Jaguar XF with the climate control system. The temperature sensor and control module were showing errors due to a faulty wiring harness connection near the HVAC unit. The problem started with inconsistent heating and AC performance, exactly like your symptoms. After diagnosis, it turned out the main electronic faults were caused by corroded pins in the power supply connector that links the climate control panel to the main unit. The repair involved: testing the wiring harness connections, Replacing damaged connector pins, Recalibrating the temperature sensor, Clearing stored error codes, testing full HVAC functionality This was a serious repair that required specialized diagnostic equipment. The original wiring harness showed signs of water ingress which had caused the connection issues. Without proper repair, these electrical problems typically get worse and can affect other vehicle systems. The symptoms you describe strongly suggest similar connector or wiring harness issues rather than a complete system failure. Would recommend having a certified technician check the electrical connections before replacing any major components.
