Jazz poor starting and high fuel consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Honda Jazz hybrid is experiencing poor starting and increased fuel consumption, with diagnostics indicating a defective throttle valve potentially caused by a faulty accelerator pedal module. Similar issues have been noted by others, with one case requiring the replacement of the accelerator pedal module after cleaning the throttle body proved ineffective. The solution involved replacing the defective module, which resolved the problem.

Did cleaning the throttle body resolve your issue, or did you have to replace the accelerator pedal module as well? What was the state of the throttle valve?

Nah, cleaning didn't do the trick for me, sadly. I had to replace the defective accelerator pedal module in the end. Workshop time! Better get a Throttle position sensor check.

Thanks for the info. Replacing the defective accelerator pedal module sorted it; cost 205€.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the same symptoms on my Jazz. Have you checked the car throttle for any obstructions? The engine was struggling a bit on startup and MPG went south.
