Hey, thanks for the tip! That sounds pretty similar to me. Can you remember how much it cost you to change the fuel filter and clean the injectors? Did everything work fine after that or have any other problems cropped up since then?

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! So the repair cost me €190. That was the bill for the regeneration valve, which was defective. Since I've been to the mechanic, everything has been running smoothly again, because the leak in the tank ventilation system was also repaired at the same time. They did a really good job. I haven't noticed any further problems since then, at least nothing related to the symptoms I had at the time. Hope this helps you!

Wow, that gives me some confidence! Thank you for the detailed information. I think €190 is reasonable if everything runs smoothly again. Hopefully I'll be as lucky as you. Have a good trip and hopefully your Q5 will stay problem-free for a long time to come. Have a nice day and thanks again for the help!

This diagnosis by Carky was completely off the mark and wrong! It was the crankcase ventilation. In addition, Carly brings errors in equipment variables which my vehicle does not have! Total cheese as with my 2003 E200T compressor !!!!!

Hey buddy, had similar issues with my 2016 Q5 last month. Severe vibration, loss of power, jerky driving and an illuminated check engine light. It wasn't a leak in the fuel tank venting system. After I went to the garage, the problem was the fuel supply system. They had to change the fuel filter and clean the injectors. It was a serious thing, but fortunately not too complex. So have your fuel filter and injectors checked. That might solve your problem. A good local mechanic should be able to sort it out.
