Juke Central Locking Failure

Hi, I have a 2010 Nissan Juke with a gasoline engine. The central locking is acting up – I can no longer lock or unlock the doors. I suspect a faulty door contact signal but I'm not sure where to start looking. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like a pain! Have you checked the wiring harness going into the door? Those things are notorious for getting damaged, and a broken wire could definitely cause this. It's probably easier than tearing apart the whole locking mechanism.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly should I be looking for the wiring harness? And is there anything specific I should look for, like a loose connection or a broken cable?

It's usually behind the door panel, where the wires go from the car body into the door itself. Give the wires a wiggle; sometimes you can spot a break that way. Honestly though, for a sensor issue, I'd just bite the bullet and get it checked by a workshop. Why waste hours when they'll find it in minutes?

OK, thanks for your advice. Took it to the shop; turns out it was a defective cable or plug connection like I suspected. Cost me 95€ to fix. Problem solved.
