Juke Hybrid Air Quality Sensor Failure

My 2023 Nissan Juke Hybrid's air quality sensor seems to have failed; the blower motor isn't working. I've checked the wiring and connectors and can't see any damage. The car has 221128 km on it. I think it might be a cable or plug issue. Has anyone else had a similar AUC sensor problem?

I understand. A faulty connection sounds right, given what you've checked. Have you done a diagnostic scan to confirm it's the AUC sensor? A regular OBDII scanner might not be detailed enough. Also, check the blower motor fuse, though that wouldn't explain the sensor issue.

I scanned it with a professional tool, and it flagged the AUC sensor specifically, but no shorts or open circuits. I checked the fuses too, and they're fine. Could a bad sensor stop the blower, even without a detected short?

Yes, a faulty AUC sensor could stop the blower, even without a short. The sensor tells the climate control system what to do, and a bad reading could disable the blower as a safety measure. Since you've checked the wiring and fuses, the sensor probably needs to be replaced. I'd suggest a workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the advice. I replaced the AUC sensor at a local shop. The total cost was 95€. The blower motor is working now.
