Juke Hybrid Heating Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Nissan Juke Hybrid is experiencing low heating output, with an error indicating a potential issue with the water valve. The suspected causes include a defective water valve or a faulty cable or plug connection. It is advised to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to confirm the issue and ensure proper repair, as similar problems have been costly to fix in the past.

Thanks! I did check the coolant levels, and they seem fine, no coolant loss. However, the heating issue persists, and the error code still points to the water valve. You mentioned a coolant leak affecting the heater core. Was it difficult to diagnose?

Not particularly difficult to diagnose. I spotted some coolant residue near the heater core connections. It wasn't a major leak, just enough to cause problems with the heating. Given that you've checked your coolant levels and the error code points to the water valve, I'd strongly recommend getting it checked at a workshop. My repair ended up being quite costly, with the defective water valve and all the related parts costing me 95€.

Thanks for the advice and sharing your experience. I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the water valve and its connections thoroughly. Hopefully, it's just a faulty connection as I initially suspected, but better to be safe than sorry. I will post the repair outcome.

Interesting. I have a Nissan Juke, too (petrol, not hybrid). I also had similar heating issues. Turns out it was a coolant leak affecting the heater core. Have you checked your coolant levels lately?
