Juke Manifold Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Nissan Juke diesel exhibited issues such as jerking during acceleration, a check engine light, error codes, reduced power, rough running, stalling at idle, and a strong exhaust smell. These symptoms suggested a manifold gasket leak, potentially causing scorching. A similar case on a different vehicle pointed to a vacuum leak from the manifold sensor as a possible cause. The solution involved replacing the intake manifold, which resolved the issues and restored the vehicle's performance.

Manifold sensor readings, eh? Interesting. Where exactly was the leak on your Peugeot?

It was tricky to find, but the gasket around the manifold runner had failed. Scorching was a clear indicator, eventually leading to a vacuum leak that messed with the fuel mixture. It may be similar on your Juke's car manifold system. If you can't find it yourself, I'd recommend a workshop visit.

Thanks. Took it to the shop. You were spot on about the intake manifold leaking due to scorching. Cost me 1180€ to replace. Runs like new now!

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms on my 2016 Peugeot 308, also a diesel. Jerking, power loss, and rough idle drove me crazy. Turns out, a vacuum leak from the manifold sensor was the culprit. Have you checked the manifold sensor readings? An engine misfire might also be related to that. The devil is in the detail...
