When you say 'faulty connection,' are you referring to a specific area within the door, or a connector in the fuse box?

It was a while ago, but I recall a plug connection along the door harness. I spent hours fiddling with it and I am not even sure what I did. In the end, I took it to a local shop. It might be worth doing the same, saves a lot of headaches. If it's a broken wire it will also be challenging to fix.

I appreciate the confirmation. A workshop visit seems best, following your experience. They said the cable or plug connection was defective and the repair cost 95€. Thanks for your time.

I had a similar problem with my Vauxhall Astra. The remote locking stopped, and it was a faulty connection. Did you check all the door locks and the locking mechanism? I had to access the rear door and remove some trim to check. It was a pain.
