Jumper check engine light and rough running
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Citroen Jumper diesel is experiencing a check engine light and rough running, suspected to be caused by a water sensor issue. A defective cable or plug connection is considered a possible cause. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connector, suggesting a diagnostic check to confirm the problem before replacing the sensor. The problem was ultimately fixed by repairing the corroded connector for 95€.

Thanks for the quick reply. The light is on constantly now, and the rough running is consistent. How did you figure out the problem with yours? Was it definitely the sensor, or something else causing the issue?

Mine was acting up and down, but when it stayed on, I took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a corroded connector. Cost me 95€ to get sorted. Might be worth getting a diagnostic check rather than just replacing the sensor, just in case.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop for diagnostics as you suggested. Turns out it was indeed a corroded connector as you said, and it was fixed for 95€!

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Jumper. Is it intermittent, or is the light on all the time? Seems like a dodgy electrical fault, and those sensors can be real pains. Is the sensor itself actually faulty or is the signal messed up?
