Jumper Electric starting issue

Charging system, you say? How would I even check that? I mean, the van drives fine when it starts, so I assumed the alternator was doing its job. Is there a way to tell if it's not charging properly without fancy tools?

If it drives fine once started, the alternator might be okay, but it's worth investigating. Intermittent issues can be tricky. Terminal 30 problems can stem from a faulty ignition switch or wiring issues too. To be safe, get the battery and charging system properly tested at a workshop. It's an electrical problem, so it is better to avoid further damage.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a shop, and you were spot on. Turns out the battery was toast and causing the Terminal 30 issue. New battery fitted, cost me 290€, and it's starting like a dream now!

Sounds like an electrical fault. Terminal 30 is your main power supply. Has the battery been tested? A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause those symptoms. Have you noticed any issues with the charging system?
