Jumper engine stalling

Hi, I've got a 2006 Citroen Jumper diesel with about 53,000 km on the clock. Lately, the check engine light keeps popping up, and the engine sometimes stalls at idle. I've also noticed a bit of a power loss. I suspect it's the rail pressure sensor acting up. Anyone else experienced this?

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Jumper (though a slightly newer model). Check engine light, stalling, the whole nine yards. It felt like the engine was being strangled. Was the rail pressure the culprit for you too?

Interesting. So, it really could be the rail pressure sensor, you think? If yes, how can I further check it?

Yep, turned out to be a faulty rail pressure sensor. If the sensor is sending bad data, it will cause the engine to go haywire. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to be sure, but that was exactly my experience.

Thanks a lot! That confirms my suspicion, and you saved me a lot of time. I took your advice and went to the workshop; they replaced the rail pressure sensor, and everything's back to normal. Cost me about 240€, but well worth it.
