Jumper Engine Wont Start

My 2005 Citroen Jumper with a gasoline engine won't start at all. It has 132816 km on it. I think it might be the battery cable connections. Has anyone else had this problem?

Oh, I feel your pain! I had a very similar issue with my Jumper, although mine is a diesel. These vans share a bunch of parts. The starting problem sounds very familiar. Did you check the voltage when trying to start and when not trying to start? What readings did you get? The ECU can be pretty sensitive. Also, have you looked into the fuel injection system to see if there are any obvious issues there?

Thanks for the quick reply! Could you tell me the voltage ranges I should be looking for during starting and idle? Also, what parts of the fuel injection system should I check?

Honestly, I can't remember the exact voltage ranges now, it was a while ago. What I do remember is that my battery cables looked spotless and I thought they were ok - but the mechanic found corrosion and build-up in the cable so there wasnt enough power getting to the starter. It might be time to have the van looked at and have the starter motor tested - I bet that's where the problem is.

I took the Jumper to a workshop, and it turned out the battery cable connections were the problem, like I thought. The repair cost 155€. Thanks for the help!
