Jumper immobilizer issue

I'm having an immobilizer problem with my 2023 Citroen Jumper, diesel engine, with 87253 km. The engine either doesn't start, or starts briefly then stops. There's an anti-theft error code stored. I suspect incorrect key programming. Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar with my Jumper. An immobilizer, or anti-theft system, stops the engine from starting without the correct key. A transponder chip in the key communicates with the car's computer. If the immobilizer doesn't recognize the key, it cuts off fuel or ignition. Does it happen with both keys?

Yes, the issue persists with both keys. What caused the problem in your case?

Right, both keys. Mine was messed up programming. The chip wasn't communicating correctly. If both keys are failing, something is probably wrong with your anti-theft system itself. I'd suggest a workshop; it's probably an easy fix.

Thanks for the advice. I visited a workshop. The key programming was indeed incorrect, as suspected. The repair cost 45€. The vehicle is now working correctly.
