Jumpy airbag warning light

Hello, I'm having trouble with my 2000 Citroen Jumpy, gasoline engine, with 95250 km mileage. The airbag warning lamp is constantly lit. I suspect it might be a defective cable or plug connection within the airbag system. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I already checked the fuses, but that didn't solve the problem.

I have a Jumpy too. The SRS light, or supplemental restraint system, which is what the airbag system is sometimes called, lit up on mine a while back. I remember reading something about possible airbag recalls for these vehicles, have you checked into that?

Thanks for the quick reply. An airbag recall is a good point. But how can I identify the faulty cable or plug connection that causes the system to fail? Did you manage to find the reason for the SRS light coming on in your car?

I didn't try to find the cause myself, as car safety is important to me. Considering it's the airbag system, I took it directly to a workshop. They identified it as a faulty connection to an airbag sensor. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I will bring it to a mechanic. They told me it was indeed the cable or plug connection and it ended up costing around 95€ to fix.
