Jumpy Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Citroen Jumpy diesel is experiencing poor starting, reduced engine power, and an error code, suspected to be related to the camshaft sensor. Possible causes include a faulty sensor, bad cable, or plug issues. After checking the wiring and plug with no visible damage, it was suggested to have the sensor diagnosed professionally. The workshop confirmed the camshaft sensor was defective, leading to its replacement.

I checked the wiring and plug, but see nothing. Could the sensor be bad even without visible damage?

Yes, it's possible. Sensors can fail internally. Since you ruled out wiring and have the symptoms and error code, get the sensor diagnosed at a workshop. They can test it properly.

I took it to a workshop as suggested. You were right; the camshaft sensor was defective, even with no visible wiring damage. The repair cost 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra, though it stalled sometimes. Did you check the wiring harness for damage or corrosion? A visual check can find it.
