Jumpy Overheating Air Flap Issue

Having trouble with my 2010 Citroen Jumpy diesel. Check engine light and overheating at 204564 km. Suspect it's the active air flap electromechanism. Anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Jumpy. Does it happen frequently, or only under certain conditions? What fault codes are you getting? Overheating can be serious, so diagnose the problem correctly.

Thanks for the quick reply! It happens more often during city driving, especially when it's hot. I haven't checked the fault codes myself, but I'm thinking of getting it scanned. Did you manage to fix yours yourself?

I did encounter this. My Jumpy had the same symptoms, and I ended up having to replace the air flap electromechanism. It's a fairly common issue, apparently. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It could save you time and potential headaches.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were right – it was the air flap electromechanism. Cost me 590€ to get it sorted, but at least the overheating is gone. Appreciate the help!
