Jumpy rear window heating issue
Summary of the thread
The rear window heating issue in a 2009 Citroen Jumpy was initially suspected to be related to a fuse problem, but further investigation suggested a defective or heavily discharged battery could be the cause. After checking the battery voltage and considering the energy management unit, it was determined that the battery was indeed defective. Replacing the battery resolved the heating issues for both the rear window and windshield.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for your input. I have not checked the voltage under load, hoping it was a simple fuse issue. I will check the voltage drop when activating the rear window heating as you suggested. Did you resolve your issue? What was the cause in your case?

Yes, eventually I took it to a workshop. After diagnosing, they determined the battery was heavily discharged and not providing enough power, affecting the heating circuits. They replaced the battery, and that resolved the problem completely. I would recommend having your battery properly tested.

Thank you for the advice! I took the van to a local shop, and you were spot on. The battery was indeed defective. Replacing it, including labor, set me back 290€. Now the window heater and the windshield heating are working normally. I appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue with my Jumpy, though I have a diesel engine. I had the same symptoms. Did you check the battery voltage? What is the state of your alternator? Maybe the issue is with the energy management unit. You could try to measure the current draw when activating the rear window heating.
