Jumpy System Readiness Check Incomplete

I have a 2023 Citroen Jumpy with a diesel engine and 246804 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'System readiness check incomplete' error, which is stored in the error memory and also shows as an error message in the speedometer. The vehicle was recently read out via OBD2 diagnostics. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Astra after using an OBD2 scanner. The system readiness refers to a series of tests your car's computer runs to ensure the emissions system is functioning correctly. It's like the car is making sure all its 'I's are dotted and 'T's are crossed before an emissions test. Did you recently clear any codes or reset the computer?

Yes, I did clear some old codes using the OBD2 scanner. So, clearing the codes is the reason for the error? Is there anything I can do, or should I just ignore it?

Yes, clearing the codes will reset the readiness monitors. The monitors need to run and complete their tests before the system is considered 'ready'. Usually, a specific drive cycle is required, which involves driving under certain conditions. However, given that the vehicle is under warranty, I would recommend consulting your local Citroen workshop to avoid any future problems.

Thank you for your help. Turns out the system just needed a specific drive cycle to complete. After following the steps in the service manual, the error disappeared, and the system readiness check is now complete. No cost involved.
