Jumpy weak heating output

Hi, I have a Citroen Jumpy from 2000 with a gasoline engine. The heating output is too low, and I found an error stored. It seems the water valve is defective. I suspect a bad cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this?

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Jumpy, although I didn't check the error memory. The heating was weak. Did you check for valve blockage first? Sometimes debris can cause this. Water valves are essential parts of the cooling circuit, that controls the flow of coolant into the heater core. Is the coolant level okay? Also, did you inspect the valve and connections for any signs of corrosion?

Thanks for the hints! Yes, coolant level is fine. I did visually inspect the valve and connections; everything looks clean. When you say valve blockage, do you mean inside the valve itself? Is there a way to check this without removing the whole unit?

Yeah, I meant blockage inside the valve. Honestly, I couldn't figure it out myself and just took it to a workshop. They confirmed the valve was faulty. Saved me a lot of headache. It's probably best to have it professionally checked.

Okay, thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it. I'll take it to the workshop. They quoted me around 95€ for the repair, so hopefully, it's just that. I'll post if that fixes the issue.
