Ka Handsfree Failure

Sound quality seemed okay before it went. The only thing that I noticed was an increase in ambient noise on calls. But that might be something else entirely. What did you do to fix yours?

Ah, the ambient noise thing could be a clue. Maybe the microphone itself is faulty, but honestly, it sounds like the infotainment system is going kaput. With my Astra, the repair shop said the whole unit needed replacing because the wireless connection module was integrated. Ended up costing a fortune. Honestly, I'd get yours checked out by a professional before trying anything yourself. Better safe than sorry!

Cheers, appreciate the advice. Workshop confirmed it's the infotainment system. Repair will be 815€. Ouch.

Hey, that sucks! Had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra, though mine was a 2012 model. The Bluetooth connection kept dropping out, and voice recognition went haywire. By the way, the infotainment system is basically the computer that controls your radio, navigation, and phone functions. Did your sound quality degrade at all before it completely died?
