The error code just says general heating circuit malfunction, nothing about the sensor. What kind of damage was your seat cushion, and how did it relate to the heating?

Okay, in my case, the damage caused a short circuit. Given your description, it seems likely that your heating mat is indeed defective. Considering the error code and mileage, I'd suggest a visit to a workshop.

Thanks for the insight. I had it inspected, like you said. Turns out the seat heating mat was defective. Replaced it for 390€. It's working now.

I had a similar problem with my Ka. Does the error code specifically point to the heating element? Have you checked the thermal sensor? In my case, the seat cushion was also partially damaged.
