Ka tire pressure warning

Hey, I've got a 2018 Ford Ka with a gasoline engine and I'm running into a weird issue. My tire pressure warning light keeps popping up, saying the tire pressure is too low. I've checked and inflated all the tires to the correct pressure, but the error message in the speedometer is still there. I even hooked it up to a diagnostic tool and it shows an error stored in the error memory related to the tire pressure sensor. I'm suspecting one of the sensors might be faulty. Anyone else experienced this?

Yep, had almost the exact same thing happen on my Ka. Drove me nuts for a while! Did you check all the tires including the spare? Also, how old are the sensors? They might just need new batteries after a few years.

Good point! I did check the spare, but I didn't think about the sensor age. The car has almost 40k kilometers on it. Do you think the sensor batteries are actually the likely culprit, or could it be something else?

Mileage doesn't really matter, it's more about age. If they're the original sensors from 2018, the batteries are probably getting weak. It's a common issue. I tried messing with it myself, but honestly, save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace the faulty sensor. It's probably the easiest route.

Thanks for the advice! I suspected as much. I took it to the workshop today, and you were spot on. Turns out the battery in one of the sensors was dead. They replaced the sensor, and the error is gone now. Cost me around 280€, but at least it's fixed. Appreciate the help!
