Kadjar Boost Pressure Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Renault Kadjar is experiencing issues with the check engine light, reduced power, poor engine response, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and whistling and hissing noises during acceleration. The initial suspicion is a problem with the wastegate valve, supported by an error code indicating a boost pressure regulation issue. Suggestions include checking the throttle body for buildup and consulting a mechanic for a pressure test to confirm the wastegate valve problem.

Thanks. I haven't checked the throttle body yet, but I will. The error code indicates a boost pressure regulation issue. How did you diagnose the wastegate valve on your BMW?

The error code pointed to boost issues for me too, but it was a wild goose chase. I checked hoses, the intercooler, you name it. Eventually, the hissing got louder, and a buddy pointed to the wastegate actuator. It was stuck open. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error code, it’s probably best to get it checked by a mechanic. They can pressure test the system and confirm it.

Thanks for the advice. I've booked it in with a mechanic. It looks like the wastegate valve is the problem. Repair cost is about 860€. I'll post again when it's fixed.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my BMW 3 Series. Symptoms were almost identical. Have you checked the throttle body for buildup? Sometimes a dirty throttle body can mimic boost problems. Also, have you tried to read the error code? That might pinpoint the problem.
