Thanks! Could you give me more details? Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Are they easily accessible, or will I need to remove parts to get to them?

On the Volvo, they were near each strut. Probably similar on the Kadjar. Honestly, unless you're confident, it's best to get it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local mechanic and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective plug connection in the damping system. They replaced the connector and cleared the error. Cost me 95€, but the ride is smooth again.

I had a similar issue with my old Volvo V60. Same symptoms, damping control error, bumpy ride. Turned out to be a dodgy connection. I'd check all the connections you can find related to the suspension before going further.
