Kadjar Diesel Intake Manifold Issue

A smoke test? Interesting. I haven't gone that far yet. Misfire codes, yes, it did throw some random ones. But could a small gasket leak really be the culprit behind all these drivability issues, or am I missing something more sinister?

Yep, a small leak can wreak havoc on the air/fuel mixture, especially at idle and low speeds. The ECU tries to compensate, leading to all sorts of problems. Honestly, with those symptoms and the codes, I'd bet on the intake manifold. Time to visit a workshop!

Appreciate the insight! Took it to the shop as suggested, and you nailed it - leaky intake manifold due to scorching. 1180€ later, new manifold installed, and the Kadjar is purring like a kitten again. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar! Had similar woes with my old Volvo V70. Is it throwing any misfire codes? A leaky intake manifold can definitely cause those symptoms. Check engine light is a big clue. Might be worth a smoke test to confirm the leak.
