Kadjar engine mount fault
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Kadjar diesel with 161,659 km was experiencing uneven idling, and an error memory indicated a fault related to the engine mount. The issue raised concerns about whether a defective cable or plug connection could be the cause. After discussing potential causes, it was suggested to inspect the engine mounting bracket for visible damage. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed the engine mount was defective, replaced it, and resolved the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't specifically checked the mounting bracket for visible damage, only the error codes. You mentioned you had a similar issue. Was the problem with yours also indicated in the error memory? What did the vibrations feel like in your case?

Yes, the error code was the first indicator for me too, along with similar vibrations. However, in my experience, it is difficult to diagnose. If it is indeed the engine mount, consider that a broken engine mount can cause consequential damage. Considering the symptoms, your best bet is to have a workshop take a look at it. They'll be able to properly diagnose the issue and check the mount's integrity.

Okay, thank you very much for your advice! I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed the engine mount was indeed defective. They replaced it, and the issue seems to be resolved. The bill came to 95€, which is a relief! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

KADJAR

I also have a Kadjar (although not a 2021 model). Uneven idling and engine mount errors can be tricky. Before jumping to conclusions about cables and plugs, have you inspected the engine mounting bracket itself? Sometimes a visual check can reveal cracks or excessive wear. I'm not entirely convinced a faulty connection would cause such pronounced vibrations, but I'm interested in seeing what other clues you have.
