Kadjar fuel level sensor fault

Hi, I'm having a frustrating issue with my 2017 Renault Kadjar diesel. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. I've scanned the error memory and it's showing a fuel level sensor fault. I've checked the wiring to the sensor as best I can, and it looks okay. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if there's a fuse for the fuel level sensor that I might be missing? Mileage is 230871 km.

Good day, I understand your frustration with the Renault Kadjar. I had a similar issue with my 2014 Opel Insignia, although the symptoms weren't exactly the same. Mine was throwing a code related to fuel trim, but it turned out to be related to a faulty sensor in the fuel system. Was the error message clear about the sensor? Did you check the resistance of the sensor?

Thanks for the quick reply! The error message specifically states 'fuel level sensor circuit malfunction'. I haven't checked the resistance of the sensor yet, to be honest. I'm not sure what the correct resistance should be. Do you remember if your Opel Insignia also stalled?

Ah, I see. My Opel Insignia never stalled, thankfully. Given the specific error message and the stalling, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to have the sensor properly diagnosed and replaced. It sounds like it could be a tricky one to solve without the proper equipment. It will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks for the advice! I went to the mechanic and it turned out to be a defective fuel level sensor. The repair cost was 52€. I appreciate the help!
