Kadjar generator issue

My 2022 Renault Kadjar with a gasoline engine is acting up with 233982 km. I think it's the generator. Symptoms: reduced engine power, warning light, hard starts, flickering lights. Reader shows low voltage error. Battery's good, terminals are clean, belt's fine. Thoughts before I spend a fortune?

Sounds frustrating! I had similar issues with my Kadjar: weak start, power loss, and flickering lights! Did you check the voltage output from the generator while the engine is running? That's what clued me in.

Yeah, I checked the voltage output. It's all over the place, not stable. What was the issue with yours? Was it the generator, or something else in the charging system?

For me, it was the generator. Given your fluctuating voltage, it sounds like you're in the same boat. I'd recommend a proper diagnosis to be 100% sure, but be prepared. I spent 960€ to get it fixed.
