Kadjar Height Control Restricted Warning

I'm at my wit's end with my 2018 Renault Kadjar diesel. I'm getting a 'Height control restricted' warning light. The low beams are all over the place, the car feels like it's riding on bricks, and the front looks way lower than the back. I scanned it and got an error about the height. Mileage is at 173500 km. Any ideas before I start ripping things apart?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same symptoms with my old Volvo V70. The height control went bonkers and gave me a terrible ride. Does your Kadjar have some kind of leveling system or load sensor on the suspension?

Yeah, I think it does. I've been reading about leveling sensors and control rods. Was it something like that on your Volvo?

Spot on! It was the control rod on the leveling sensor. Snapped clean off, apparently a common issue. Check that first but honestly, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. Could be the sensor itself or even a wiring issue. Better safe than sorry!

Okay, thanks for the tip! I will check the control rod first and if that's it, I will get it replaced. I found them online for around 110€. If it's more complicated, I'll take it to a workshop. Appreciate the help!
