Kadjar hissing sound on acceleration

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the vacuum hoses specifically, but I did give the air intake a quick look over. Where exactly were the hoses located that gave you trouble? I'm hoping I can find the leak myself and avoid a costly repair.

Okay, so on mine, it was a small hose connected to the intake manifold, pretty close to where it joins the engine. Honestly, it was difficult to spot without really getting in there. Given the symptoms, and if you're not super comfortable with engine work, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional. A leak detection test would pinpoint the exact spot.

Appreciate the advice. I think you're right, I'll take it to the shop. Just got a quote for around 100€ to fix it, seems reasonable. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions, it's a relief to know it's probably just a hose!

I drive a Kadjar too, and your symptoms sound very familiar. That hissing noise is a classic sign. I had a similar issue a while back, and it turned out to be a split in one of the vacuum hoses connected to the air intake. Have you checked those?
