Kadjar Lighting Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Renault Kadjar is experiencing a lighting fault where the lights randomly switch on, and an error is stored in the memory. The suspected cause is a faulty light switch, but it could also be related to a fuse issue or defective cable or plug connections. Checking the dashboard and tail lights, as well as inspecting the fuse box, are suggested initial steps. If unresolved, professional repair may be necessary, as similar issues have been fixed by addressing defective connections.

Thanks for the tip! Which fuse exactly should I be checking, and where is it located? Also, did your lights just switch on randomly, or were there any other symptoms?

To be honest, I'm not sure which specific fuse it was, and I don't want to give you the wrong information. But yeah, the lights were just going on and off. Eventually, I just took it to a workshop to get it sorted. They said the cable or plug connection of the component was defective.

Okay, thanks for sharing your experience! I'll check the fuses, but it sounds like I might be heading to the shop as well. They quoted me around 95€ to fix it, so hopefully, it's a similar issue. Appreciate the help!

Hi, I just bought a 2021 Kadjar with 93,000 km. My problem is that the interior lights, such as the ceiling lights, glove box light, and trunk light, no longer turn on. I've changed the fuses and activated them in the R-Link settings, but the problem persists. I'm asking for your help. Thank you in advance.

Check if the interior light switch is set to the correct position, as it might be turned off or set to manual mode. If the switch is fine, inspect the bulbs to ensure they are not burnt out. If the issue persists, it could be a wiring problem or a faulty relay. Let me know how it goes or if you have further questions!

I had something similar happen with my Kadjar. Check the dashboard lights and tail lights first. Could be a fuse issue, so have a look at the fuse box. It might be a simple fix.
