Kadjar solar sensor error and heating issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Renault Kadjar diesel is experiencing a recurring solar sensor error and inadequate heating. Diagnostics suggest a potential issue with the cable or plug, as sensor calibration did not resolve the problem. A similar case involved checking the temperature sensor and cable connections, which were addressed at a workshop. The recommended course of action is to have the cable connections and sensor readings professionally inspected.

Can you give me more details about your issue? Was the error also related to the solar sensor, and did you notice any specific anomalies in the sensor readings before finding the defective connection?

Yes, the error was related to the solar sensor as well. If I remember correctly, the error was stored, but the car did not throw any lights on the dashboard. I would recommend going to the workshop as I did to check the exact cable and sensor readings.

Thanks for confirming and for the advice. I'll get the cable connections and sensor readings checked at a workshop. Based on your experience, I'm expecting a repair cost around 95€.

I had something similar with my Kadjar. The heating was definitely not performing as it should. Have you checked the temperature sensor itself? It might be worth a look before diving into the wiring harness.
