Kalos Audio Failure
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around an audio failure in a 2003 Chevrolet Kalos, where the sound system stopped working, accompanied by an error code. The issue might be related to a defective display unit, as suggested by a similar past experience. Checking the fuses was recommended, but since they were fine, a professional repair is likely needed, with a quoted cost of 725€.

I checked the fuses, they seem fine. The display looks normal otherwise. If it was the display, would that completely kill the sound?

Yeah, that's exactly what happened with mine. Everything else on the display worked, but no sound at all. Error was the only clue. Took it to a workshop in the end, they told me the display unit was defective. Replacement wasn't cheap.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading to the shop too. They quoted me 725€ for the repair. Ouch!

I had a similar problem with my Chevrolet Kalos. The sound just went dead, and yeah, there was an error stored. Have you checked the fuses? Is the display acting weird in any other way?
