Kalos engine stalling rough idle
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Chevrolet Kalos owner experienced engine stalling and rough idling, with a check engine light indicating an incorrect fuel composition error. A suggestion was made to inspect the cable and plug connections to the fuel composition sensor, located near the fuel tank, as a potential cause. The issue was resolved by fixing a faulty connector to the sensor, confirming the initial suspicion.

Thanks! Where exactly is that sensor located? And what were your symptoms like before you fixed it?

It's near the fuel tank. My symptoms were pretty much the same as yours – check engine light, rough idle, and a code related to fuel mixture. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. It could be something else.

You were spot on! Took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a faulty connector to the sensor, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks a lot for the tip!

I had a similar issue with my Kalos. Check the cable and plug connections to the fuel composition sensor. It might be a defective connection.
