Kalos Intermittent Starting and Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Chevrolet Kalos is experiencing intermittent starting issues, rough idling, stalling, a constant check engine light, and poor fuel efficiency. The initial suspicion was a faulty fuel injector, but further discussion suggested a potential problem with the fuel pump or its relay. After professional diagnosis, the issue was identified as a defective fuel pump cable, which was replaced, resolving the problem.

Fuel pump relay? Where is that even located, and how do I check it? And how would I listen for the fuel pump? I'm not really a mechanic, just trying to save some money if it's an easy fix.

Given your symptoms and the error code, it sounds like a defective cable or plug connection. It's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the fuel pump and its wiring and connections.

You were right! Took it to a shop, and it was a defective fuel pump cable. They replaced it for 95€. Runs like new now. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like fuel delivery issues. A faulty fuel injector could cause some of those symptoms, but with all those problems at once, especially the no-start and stalling, I'm leaning more towards the fuel pump itself. Have you checked the fuel pump relay or listened for the pump priming when you turn the key?
