Kangoo ABS Traction Problems

Hey, I'm having issues with my 2012 Renault Kangoo electric. The ABS light is on, and I'm experiencing traction problems. The ABS system seems shot. My odometer shows 188763 km. Could this be a speed signal fault? Has anyone else run into this?

The symptoms you describe, including the ABS light, traction issues, and ABS failure, are consistent with a potential speed signal fault. This could stem from a defective control unit affecting the input from the transmission. Have you scanned the vehicle for error codes?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't scanned for error codes yet, but if it's the control unit, is that a huge job to fix? I'm just trying to get a sense of what I'm up against before I take it in.

Based on the symptoms and the likelihood of a defective control unit influencing the speed signal input, I would advise taking it to a qualified workshop. The repair, if it involves replacing the control unit, could cost around 1000€.

Thanks so much for the insight! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was the control unit. Cost me about 1000€ to get it sorted. Really appreciate the help!
