Spongy is a good way to describe it. Warning light is on. Did you just top up the fluid or was there more to it?

Topping up didn't fix it for me. Turned out I needed new pads and discs. Get it checked properly - brakes are important!

Thanks. Brakes were indeed worn. 480€ later for pads, discs and fluid replacement. Appreciate the advice!
