Thanks for the tip. The engine runs fine, no noticeable difference. Could it still be a vacuum hose even without performance issues?

Yeah, definitely. A small leak might not affect performance much but can still trigger the check engine light due to incorrect air mixture. If you can't find it, a mechanic will locate the issue in a few minutes.

It was indeed a defective hose to the air valve, as suspected. Replaced it at the workshop. Cost me 175€ Thanks for the advice!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Kangoo. Check those vacuum hoses really well. It might be something simple like a crack causing a leak. Is the engine running rough?
