Kangoo Engine Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Kangoo owner experienced engine power loss and a check engine light, suspecting a chip tuning job as the cause. A similar issue was reported by another Kangoo owner, who found that the ECU was affected by the tuning. The solution involved re-flashing the ECU and removing the tuning at a workshop.

Yeah, it threw code Pxxxx. Did yours point to some kind of sensor malfunction? Is it the same problem?

Okay, your problem sounds very close to mine. The fault code pointed to the ECU being unhappy after the chip tuning. I had to take it to a workshop to get it sorted. They had to re-flash the ECU and remove the tuning. Cost me about 180€.

Thanks! That's pretty much confirmed my suspicions about the chip tuning. Looks like a trip to the workshop is in order. I appreciate you sharing your experience; it's saved me a lot of guesswork! Cost was also around 180€. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar! I've got a Renault Kangoo too, and I had a similar issue a while back. Same symptoms - reduced power and that check engine light. Did the scan tool give you a specific fault code?
