Was it a total failure like mine, or intermittent? Did you have other electrical issues at the same time?

Yep, total failure. Wouldn't budge. No other weird electrical issues though. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop in the end. Saved myself a lot of grief.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra; the fuel filler door wouldn't open. Is it electrical, maybe the release button itself is faulty?
