Thanks for your reply! Yes, the security light is illuminated. I only have one key for the car. Does this confirm that it is the key? I don't know a lot about car electronics. What do you suggest?

Given that the security light is on and you only have one key, it does strongly suggest an immobilizer fault related to the key's programming. In my case, with the Opel, the only solution was to take it to a workshop to have the key reprogrammed to the car's anti-theft system. It might be worth considering the same for your Kangoo.

Thanks for your help! I took the car to a workshop, and you were right. The programming of the key was indeed incorrect. They reprogrammed it, and now everything is working fine. The repair cost me 45€. Thanks again!

Greetings, I experienced a similar issue with my 2008 Opel Astra, although it's a different make. The security light on the dashboard was constantly illuminated, and the car would either not start or cut out after a few seconds. Was your security light on, and have you tried using your spare key to see if that resolves the issue?
