Kangoo intake air temperature sensor issue

It seems fairly consistent whether the engine is cold or warm. As for experience, I've swapped out a few sensors before, nothing too complicated. Is there anything specific I should be looking for to confirm it's definitely the sensor before I replace it?

Alright, consistent performance regardless of engine temperature does point even more strongly to the sensor itself being the culprit. While you could try checking the wiring harness for damage, given the symptoms and error code, and your experience, it's highly likely the sensor is indeed faulty. If you want to be absolutely sure, a mechanic could confirm with more advanced diagnostic tools. However, at this point, replacing the sensor is probably the most efficient course of action. Replacing this part will cost about 155€ in the workshop. What do you think?

Thanks for the advice! I went ahead and replaced the intake air temperature sensor, and that seems to have done the trick. The check engine light is off, the power is back, and it's running smoothly again.

Sounds frustrating! Reduced power and a rough idle are never fun. An intake air temperature sensor issue could definitely cause those symptoms. Have you noticed if it's worse when the engine is cold, or does it seem pretty consistent? Do you have any experience working with car sensors?
