Kangoo oil level sensor issue

Hi, I've got a 2015 Renault Kangoo, gasoline engine, with a perplexing oil level issue. The speedometer keeps flashing an error, and the error memory isn't helping much. I'm also seeing the oil pressure warning lamp light up. I suspect the oil level sensor is faulty, or perhaps it's a connection problem? Anyone seen anything similar?

That sounds frustrating. I had a comparable situation with my old Opel Corsa, a different beast altogether, but the symptoms were eerily similar. It turned out to be a defective cable connection to the oil level sensor. Have you checked the wiring and connectors for corrosion or damage?

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say cable connection, do you mean the plug directly on the sensor itself, or further up the line? I'm trying to avoid tearing apart the whole engine bay if I can.

In my case, it was the plug right at the sensor. Wiggling it made the warning light flicker, which was a good clue. However, if you're not comfortable probing around with a multimeter, I'd suggest a workshop visit to pinpoint the problem.

Appreciate the input. I checked the sensor plug, and it seems okay. I'll bring it to the workshop and have them take a look. Hopefully, it won't break the bank.
