Kangoo oil temperature sensor fault

Hi, I have a 2014 Renault Kangoo with a gasoline engine. The engine oil temperature warning light is on. Error memory shows an oil temperature sensor error. Also, the oil pressure warning lamp sometimes lights up. I suspect a faulty cable or plug connection. Anyone else had this?

That sounds concerning. Could the sensor itself be faulty, rather than just the connection? Have you tried checking the sensor's resistance with a multimeter to verify if it's working?

No, I haven't checked the resistance yet. Where exactly is the oil temperature sensor located in the Kangoo? Is it easy to access?

I'm uncertain about the exact location of the oil temperature sensor. Given the potential for misdiagnosis, I'd recommend consulting a qualified mechanic. They can accurately diagnose the issue and perform the necessary repairs.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a faulty connection to the oil temperature sensor. They replaced the connector and wiring. Cost me 95€. Problem solved.
